One Response to “Links to explore when I get some time”
From the first link, ideas presented bring into question the possible value of having a “random” input in an otherwise normally trained ANN. Another possibly interesting effect would be to have a clock fire a random neuron, regardless of other states. Would this increase the “intuition” of the system? Would it cause a network to defend itself against the random input or random firing by some internal comparative method? Would a large enough ANN become imaginative? Would a random generator thus cause the appearance of “free will”? Finally, once such has “appeared”, would the removal of the random generator cause the disappearance of “free will”?
Didn’t quite get through all of what is on the first link, but that was enough to get me thinking…

When will TrueNorth be available to the public?
