and here’s a wonderfully paranoid thought..
maybe we’re going to have lots of nasty earthquakes because the oil that we are busy pumping out of the ground and burning was supposed to be a lubricating system to make the plates slide all nice and smoothlike..

That’s happened. In Colorado in the ’60’s they were producing vast amounts of nerve gas at (I’m told) Rocky Mountain Arsenal, and pumping the excess into deep injection wells, which were causing earthquakes on a regular (as in every other Thursday at noon) earthquakes.

I don’t buy the ‘supposed’ part, tho’. There’s a small timing issue.
