..
What hurts the most is that P. is no longer in love with me.
That hurts more than my neck, for sure.
The temptation to just cease living is strong, especially after seeing her.
I mean, everything just seems so pointless..
who wants to live forever
when love must die
I was ready for almost anything.. but not this, I don’t think.

What can I do? How can I help? They say you need your friends during times of depression, but how do they go about helping?
Whatever it is, I’m here and I care.

Dearest friend, Brigandine-er, musician, discoverer, idol,
Imagine if you would a vast collection of individuals reaching across through time with what they have left, their life’s work, to carry your weight and support you during your time of need. We find these things to be self-evident..that there are men and women in whose lives we see beauty that must be protected and nutured at all costs. Why do they bother? Because They live. Because we CHOOSE to. Don’t give up, beloved er, listen to them, please:
“We live in deeds, not years; In thoughts not breaths; In feelings, not in figures
on a dial. We should count time by heart throbs…”
~ Aristotle
“A man is as unhappy as he has convinced himself he is.”
~ Seneca
“A problem can not be solved with the same consciousness that created it.”
~ Albert Einstein
Do not make decisions based on unhappiness, self-doubt, negative thoughts or depressed emotions, Sheer. What will come of ideas and actions filled with light and love instead?
“A verse from the Veda says, ‘What you see, you become.’ In other words, just the
experience of perceiving the world makes you what you are. This is a quite literal
statement.”
~ Deepak Chopra
Surround yourself with positive outcomes. Complete tasks that are within your reach to do. Immerse yourself in good, life-affirming music. You have a vast store of that. Let it help you, er.
“As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking.”
~ James Allen
“Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are,
raise your sights and see possibilities – always see them, for they’re always
there.”
~ Norman Vincent Peale
“Circumstances-what are circumstances? I make circumstances.”
~ Napoleon Bonaparte
This may seem too obvious, but, I’ve SEEN you only recently achieving a monumental dream! We took part. We were the richer for the experience in knowledge, in pointing out what we Didn’t know. How fantastic is that? It’s wonderful stuff, this life business is. We thank you for the experience, but we could not possibly take the major part of your dream for ourselves. It is Yours! You were beautiful up there. You brought all that about with the help of your friends and fellow musicians. Don’t forget that. People help one another.
“Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently, but life
itself would come to be different. Life would undergo a change of appearance because we ourselves had undergone a change of attitude.”
~ Katherine Mansfield
“Fame or integrity: which is more important? Money or happiness: which is more
valuable? Success or failure: which is more destructive? If you look to others for
fulfillment, you will never truly be fulfilled. If your happiness depends on money,
you will never be happy with yourself. Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.”
~ Lao-tzu
“Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely.”
~ Auguste Rodin
“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.”
~ Dalai Lama
“The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.”
~ Carlos Castaneda
“Everything passes, everything.”
~ Anthony de Mello
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in
each moment.”
~ Henry David Thoreau
“Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the
present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear.”
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
“I love men who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and
grow brave by reflection.”
~ Thomas Paine
My friend, your smiles are WORTHwhile. I hope you find yours again.
